Introducing Our Shirt Models

Yay, kids in NoodlePop shirts!

After an initial delay, we are now shipping all designs in all sizes. The story of the delays was told as-it-happened on our Twitter blog. Suffice to say, we are relieved and excited to get to see the actual Powers For Good shirts. It looks really great. We just had to get them on some kids so we could show them (the shirts, of course) off a little.

The closest kids at hand are our own, so allow me to introduce my beautiful boys. They make great t-shirt models. Here they are showing off our Emotions design, and our Powers For Good design.

Micah — our 22-month old ball of energy — these days enjoys playing in our rare Seattle snow. He is passionate all things related to balls, bikes, and baking. He's a fantastic big brother, often wanting to hold or hug Eli.

Eli just hit three months old. He loves being held, and taking long morning naps. Eli is not a fan of his car seat, but adores his big brother.

The results of getting our boys dressed up in their new NoodlePop apparel can now be seen on our Flickr account. If you want to see how these might fit your little one, this is a good place to start. Micah is wearing a size 2T, and Eli is in a 3-6 month size onesie.

If you have photos of your kids in NoodlePop apparel, send them along to us! You can email them to staff@noodlepop.com, or if you have a Flickr account, post your photo there, and add us as a contact to let us know. We'd love to see our gear in action, and if you like we could feature them on our Flickr page.

Where to find us online

In addition to this lovely website, you can also track NoodlePop happenings and musings by keeping up with us on Twitter and Flickr.

http://twitter.com/noodlepop : Twitter is a micro-blogging service where we will be sharing some about what goes in to running a small business, and posting updates not significant enough to make it onto the blog, here. If you don't have an account with Twitter, you don't need one to get our updates (but it helps!), just check our site (www.twitter.com/noodlepop). If you are already a Twitterer, follow us! It's nice to have friends, and it's a quick and easy way to contact us.

http://flickr.com/photos/noodlepop : Flickr is a great photo sharing site. We'll post pictures of our own kids modeling the NoodlePop shirts, share examples of other designs (good and bad) that we happen across, and organize groups for you to share your findings with others. Right now, we have up some pictures of "wrong message" t-shirts... check it out, leave a comment and add us as a contact if you'd like!

We will also be turning on blog comments very soon, and gladly welcome your feedback. For now, you may use the Contact Us form on our site, or just email us at staff@noodlepop.com. Do you have comments about our site, or what we are trying to do? Any ideas for future designs, or products you would recommend? We really would love to hear from you.

Many thanks to all those who have already contacted us with feedback. It has been entirely positive, which is an encouraging as we start on this new venture! Thank you for coming along.

Welcome to NoodlePop!

We are so happy to be officially launching this website and our small business.

After being frustrated with messages on kids clothing that we found to be limiting—if not outright sexist—we started talking about what an alternative offering could look like.

Ideas started bubbling up in our conversations, but...

We could find very few existing lines that supported our viewpoint. Before we knew it, we had some designs that we really wanted to see printed for ourselves and our friends. They simply seemed too good to keep to ourselves!

We believe in the message of our products. We want more for our kids. We hope they reach beyond the cultural mainstream expectations of mediocrity. Many challenges face those who see past “good enough,” but we are certain we are not alone!

So, for all those who have a greater faith in that amazing kid-nature, we hope you find something here you like.

I know there isn't much right now, but we have tons of ideas for future designs. Watch this blog for our product announcements and more thoughts about helping our kids to attain their best!
